Hi Dave,

I am the lead programmer for Broken Sword 2.5.
I don't know how much programming experience you have, but programming a game like Broken Sword is very complex. Especially if you are doing the whole game on your own.
If I was you I would go for something easier that still has the point'n'click-adventure feel to it. For example something like this flash-game: http://www.123games.dk/game/strategy/fo ... st_eng.php.
It saves you a lot of trouble if you don't have to animate the player and if there are no other characters to interact with.
Being in an old mansion could be a nice setting that allows for a lot of nice puzzles and discoveries.

Regards,
MassaSnygga

You haven't really a hope creating something like broken sword with vb, you would need C++, your best bet with vb is some sort of card game.
