no need to be like that is there?

Post by kieran » 25. March 2006, 18:38

***! I HATE IT!

Edit by Tooms: took out an abusive word.

As far as I know the cutscene pack has been mistaken for the actual game several times, most probably because it wasn't properly named and they who linked it didn't care to check (freenet did that, for example).

Broken Sword (any part*) is not freeware and has never been.

Lure of the Temptress and Beneath a Steel Sky (from the same company), however, are.

You can download them at http://www.revolution.co.uk

*2.5 is an exception, of course

Oh and by the way, there IS a way of getting Broken Sword on ScummVM without purchasing it, there used to be a direct download but back then I didnt even know wot scummVM was so I thought nothing of it but when I went back to download it, it said its reached it limit so it is possible to download, im tellin ya.

To Io: no need to be like that is there?

Post by Io » 25. March 2006, 18:12

Uh. That's a bit tricky, actually. There is a process called "buying" involved. That means you give someone (a store, an ebay seller) money and he gives you the game.

Post by Tooms » 25. March 2006, 18:09

Okay, now I understand... and I have bad news for you: The Broken Sword series isn't freeware at the moment. So you have to find and buy it e.g. on eBay or amazon.com.

But I dont want cutscenes, I want the actual game that I can add to the ScummVM program...please help.

Post by Tooms » 25. March 2006, 17:47

Right, you can download the cutscenes from the website mentioned above, because they don't work with some windows xp machines.

Post by ngfnjgnsjg » 25. March 2006, 17:41

I thought that was only a cutscene pack? or something?
