Patronising us? really? a very sad attempt at humour! i said i would not hold my breath for this to come out but when you set in stone your release date i admired you confidence. You guys need to remove the counter that you have now put up for the sept release date, why? because you an i both know that you are just going to be unable to meet the deadline again and you will yet again concoct a ridiculous story as an attempt to lessen the blow of basically you being unable to admit that you have no idea when the game will be out.

If this game comes out on the 27 th of September i will eat *** .

Delay it. Fine.

But DO NOT attempt the bullcrap you just pulled on the front page. Seriously.

Hehe nice bet. Make sure you put it on YouTube.

Think, why would we start Beta tests with several players if there was no game for them to test? Do you think these players wouldn't notice?

Well, one thing's for sure. I'll be checking YouTube on the 28th of September. Just to amuse myself...
On second thought...I'll be playing the game, rather then seing somebody doing something like that. :))

Good job guys! Looking forward to the game! ;)

Yeah because that video would last long on youtube wouldn't it eh? doesn't violate any of the terms and conditions of decency on the site...

The point i am trying to get across is that there was no need to patronise us with a vein attempt at humour with the bad news, if you had in fact owned up and handled it better you would have shown you have respect for your fans and people in general, i know some of us will feel insulted at what you have done.

I certainly can't understand, how your head works. I mean, professional developers postpone releases for several months and even a year or more. Now people, who work absolutely for free (that is, we) want to give you a nicely done product and therefore postpone the date for one month. And you feel insulted?? We don't you go and complain to the professionals, who get money for their work and still don't do their jobs well enough? It's us, who should feel insulted, reading posts from people like you. Why don't you make a game for free? Then we could see, who would complain then.
Now, if you think that the way we presented the news is insulting, then I suppose, we should've written a sad news, explaining that "we wanted to make a better result, so we will release it later... We are soo sorry... It's really really sad... You probably are sad, too..". What good would that do? I don't think that whining is the right solution.
Anyway, if you are so insulted, just don't buy our game. Oh, sorry, I forgot.. IT'S FOR FREE! I bet you will download it anyway, so you could skip the insulting.

Oh don't mind trolls guys! Whateva they say [smilie=sleep.gif]

Guys, what you did deserves praise!!! In the end, you will only find understanding for your immense work and sacrifices in people who actually know what programming is and earn their bread with it.

God bless you guys! I hope I'll be accepted as beta-tester.

Of course, you guys have done a stand up job and as i have previously commented, i admire your skill and dedication. However do you feel there was any need to do what you did on the first page? professional company or not! i am not bothered when this game gets a release or indeed IF it gets a release i am just not impressed with the way it was disseminated of the counter you have put on the front page being moved very far back. Did you not see what happened with the Bungie announcement?

Anyway best of luck, here is to hoping that it doesn't yet again get moved back and you don't loose anymore people that were interested in this, because after all you DO want this mod to be a success do you not? I just think some people will feel a great disrespect from the stunt thats been pulled.

Keep it up guys!

Hey there,

I think this was discussed several times, yes I am sorry for your disappointment. Of course we are. But the audience satisfaction is just what made us do it. We found ways to improve the game considerably, which take a little time, and we do want to make sure that it's not buggy, that's why we added a few weeks of testing. This is not done to make you suffer, but to improve the experience for everyone.

You THINK you want a game that is available soon. You REALLY want a good game.

After all, the quickest game ever is just a box with a fancy cover and a brick inside. Nobody wants that.

i appreciate that however if you had just left the 'humorous' element out of it, you would have come off far less patronising!

if you had just said:

"We are terribly sorry to postpone the release date, but since we want to answer your hopes, we have no choice. So, we would like to appologize to those who are so eagerly waiting for the new comic-style broken sword game and have already waited for so long. Just wait a wee bit longer. "

that would have carried far more respect.
yes but no quite.....

As I have asked before: what good does whining do??
What's more, what you just wrote sounds like we owed something to you. I mean, I feel responsible to those, who are waiting for our game and respect us for what we do. I respect all of them, too. However, you don't seem to be among those people.
I really love giving good emotions to people by making this game, but I definitely don't like this attitude of yours, because you manage to get (and give) bad emotions from something what's good. You should think about it, too.

i think turning this on me is pretty low, look i admire your work, you effort and you sincerity however you did not need to inject the joke at all, it just asnt necessary.

But as ive said, i wish you the very best indeed and i am still in admiration of your determination and skill. All of you whom are concerned with this games development.

But, i just knew this was going to happen, hence my frustration.

Yeah, if you're so knowing everything, then go to some oracle websites and write horoscopes, maybe people would enjoy reading those. Coz you don't seem to do any good here.
