English voices are on their way

Postby Tooms » 14. March 2009, 20:52

After the release of the game, we haven't stopped working on it. In fact, we've prepared several additional language packages and the English voices are on their way. What is more, all of the characters already have their actors, just not all of them are fully recorded yet.

Šarunas Ledas with the help of Dennis Keighron have chosen great voices, including very convincing ones for George (Stan Burdman) and Nico (Maggie Nolan)! We believe that all of you will love them, because not only are they very fitting, but also truly similar to the original voices of the main characters. So, keep waiting for the full English version, because it's not too long until it's out. In the meantime, you can listen to the dialogue of George and Nico, that has been accidentally recorded in Nico's answering machine.

All of the voices (including George) are recorded now. Our sound guy has begun preparing the voices for the game (cutting, etc.). We can't really say when they will be finished, but what we ask is just a bit more patience. We will announce the release when it's nearer :)

Sorry to be annoying but are we talking days, weeks, months? [smilie=wohow.gif]

As you can tell im desperate to play the game and although ive tried it with the subtitles for a bit its just not the same if you were used to george's voice in english. The actors sound great though from the clip on the website!

Sorry, I think I've written something in another thread here. Anyway, we're having some trouble with time, so it may take a bit longer than I've expected. However, we surely haven't given up on our fans! :) So, just stay tuned and you'll undoubtedly hear the English voices sometime in the near future ;)

It's been exactly two months since you said that. [smilie=blink1.gif] Any news on how the English voices are coming along?

When is the english version coming out?, I hope it will come out soon, it's been ages since it was first announced.
I glanced over the books, vaguely hoping to find a copy of 'How to deal with poisonous spiders while tied to a chair'

I just downloaded the game and I was about to start playing it but the German voices held me back. I read the News section and I read that the English voices are about to come out. I am lucky that I saw that piece of news just now, in August, and not back in March [smilie=icon_cheesygrin.gif]
Anywy I'll check again the downloads section in a couple of months or so.

If you're lucky, they'll be ready by Christmas, but I wouldn't bet on it - nobody had any time to do the editing, last I saw! If any of you can do really good audio editing, maybe offer your services is my advice ;)
