Demo problems

Postby neoen » 18. May 2008, 14:21

Hello, I tried your demo version and there are many problems:

1) Exit, Save, Load, Options - these buttons does not work for me. The only way to exit demo is switching to Windows and kill running process.

2) Sound is very big problem. I can not hear sound and music. During intro there is only squeezing sound and also voices are damaged somehow.

As far as i know saving is not already implemented in the demo, but exit should work properly

Exit does not work for me. Also Options not.

But the main problem is sound and speech. Any ideas?

No, none of the functions of the buttons at the top are implemented in the english version of the demo.
Simply press Escape to exit the demo.

neoen wrote:But the main problem is sound and speech. Any ideas?

The English version of the demo is outdated compared to the German one. It still uses the fmod library for sound whereas the German version uses fmod ex. So you may try out this version to see if the problem still exists with the new sound library. Also the Exit button at the top works correctly in the German demo.

There's no English speech included but German speech. For simplicity reasons I just moved the files from the "de" folder to the "en" folder.

Re: Demo problems

And now it works well.
This newest version works well when I do not use CPU limiter.
Running your demo leads to a very high CPU load (100%), so I tried to limit process bsengine.exe with the help of BES - Battle Encoder Shirase vesion 1.2.2a. It usually works for every game I tried but with your demo there are music and speech disturbances...

Is it possible to cut CPU load somehow?

And what about english subtitles with this new demo version?

Thank you very much for your help...
