Error starting demo. Could someone help me?

Hi.
I was wondering if someone could help me. I think this fan game looks beautiful and I'd like to play the English demo but whenever I try to I get a message from windows saying either "The BSENGINE(ENGLISH).EXE file is linked to missing export DDRAW.DLL:DirectDrawCreateEx." or "A required .DLL file, FMOD.DLL, was not found." I don't know what to do about this, does anyone else have any ideas?

Well, the first probably means that your DirectX Version is out of date - try to update it.

Also, make sure you have the fmod.dll file in the same directory where the .exe file is.

Thanks for your help. How would I update DirectX? The fmod.dll file is with the .exe file.

Will Broken Sword 1 and 2 still play with if i install the new Directx? I have Windows 95. It's nice to find such a helpful forum :)

i have played bf 1 with directx 9.0 c or sth like that, never experienced any problems (at least i use windows xp) but in case of, u can use scummvm as usual

With BF1 and two, there isn´t a problem.
